It has been great getting to know your children! We are in a really good place as a class. Here is some of what we have been up to: We start and end our days with open ended discovery boxes. These are STEAM based and allow the children a gentle entry and end to their day. It offers a time for social interaction and builds community. We have been learning about fables and fairy tales. They are a great way to refresh learning about characters and setting, and retelling stories. Here we acted out 3 Billy Goats Gruff. Our next story was Jack and the Beanstalk.  After the teams made their stick puppets, (special thanks to Ms. Ashley Waltrip for lending a hand!) We reviewed to see if they had the important characters to tell the story. A person who sells the beans?..important. Cat?...maybe not so important.
